From Pantwari you climb through oak and rhododendron forests to a scenic forest campsite, then summit at 3,022 m for panoramic views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Gangotri and Kedarnath peaks. From late December to March the upper ridge and summit usually have snow, making it an excellent beginner snow trek.
The trek starts from Pantwari village, around 3.5 hours from Rishikesh. Return transport is included.
